Volunteering: Meet Mike
I’ve led a charmed life. I began my career flying fighter jets for the RAF. Anything with wings, and I’ve flown it.
Now I’m retired, I feel the need to put something back. So I popped into Enham Trust’s charity shop in the village and enquired about volunteering.
I now help out taking residents to medical appointments or to the supermarket, in the charity’s wheelchair-adapted minibus. Volunteering here is a very enjoyable experience; I’ve been made very welcome. Everyone I meet here is lovely. I’d recommend it to anyone!
