Why I Chose Enham Trust
I’ve always been a ‘people person’. I’ve never been one to be scared to talk to people or introduce myself to a new environment, so when I was given the opportunity to do a part-time work placement in my final year at the University of Winchester- my mind was made up.
Choosing Enham Trust was easy for me, it was like nothing I’d seen or heard of before. I found the concept of the village and the trust incredible and I couldn’t wait to get myself involved.
I didn’t know a lot about Enham Trust before I started here, but being here, learning about its history, its development and hopes for the future is truly inspiring.
Working alongside people of all ages and abilities is such a wonderful thing to be able to do and I feel lucky that I have been given a chance to be a part of it.
Hearing the residents speak openly about their disabilities and the way that Enham Trust has helped them individually to develop their life skills and grow in confidence is just amazing. I look forward to coming into work and watching them work so hard together to make Enham Trust the best it can be.
There are no words to sum up how Enham Trust amazes me, seeing the support and the opportunities that it gives to their customers, residents and members of staff is just incredible. Every day is so different.
I’m only four weeks in and I love it!
With so much negativity and badness in the world, being somewhere like Enham Trust is a breath of fresh air and I’m so happy to be working here.
